MPSC राज्यसेवा म्हणजे काय?
महाराष्ट्र लोकसेवा आयोग (MPSC) दरवर्षी राज्य शासनातील उपजिल्हाधिकारी, पोलीस उपअधीक्षक (DySP), तहसीलदार, आणि गटविकास अधिकारी (BDO) यांसारख्या उच्चपदस्थ अधिकाऱ्यांच्या निवडीसाठी राज्यसेवा परीक्षा (Rajyaseva Exam) आयोजित करते. ही परीक्षा महाराष्ट्रातील सर्वात प्रतिष्ठित स्पर्धा परीक्षांपैकी एक मानली जाते.
पात्रता (Eligibility)
शैक्षणिक पात्रता: उमेदवाराने कोणत्याही मान्यताप्राप्त विद्यापीठाची पदवी (Degree) पूर्ण केलेली असावी. पदवीच्या शेवटच्या वर्षाला असणारे विद्यार्थी देखील पूर्व परीक्षेसाठी अर्ज करू शकतात, मात्र मुख्य परीक्षेच्या वेळी पदवी पूर्ण असणे आवश्यक आहे.
वयोमर्यादा: खुल्या (General) प्रवर्गासाठी वयोमर्यादा 19 ते 38 वर्षे आहे. तर राखीव प्रवर्गातील उमेदवारांसाठी (OBC/SC/ST) वयोमर्यादा 19 ते 43 वर्षांपर्यंत शिथिल करण्यात आली आहे.
परीक्षेचे स्वरूप (Exam Pattern)
ही परीक्षा तीन टप्प्यांत घेतली जाते:
- पूर्व परीक्षा (Prelims - 400 गुण): यामध्ये दोन पेपर असतात. Paper 1 (General Studies) 200 गुणांचा आणि Paper 2 (CSAT) 200 गुणांचा असतो. CSAT पेपर हा Qualifying (33% गुण आवश्यक) स्वरूपाचा करण्यात आला आहे.
- मुख्य परीक्षा (Mains - 800 गुण): मुख्य परीक्षेत एकूण 6 पेपर असतात ज्यात भाषा (मराठी व इंग्रजी) आणि सामान्य अध्ययन (GS 1 ते GS 4) यांचा समावेश असतो. ही परीक्षा वर्णनात्मक (Descriptive) पद्धतीची होणार ভাগে होणार आहे.
- मुलाखत (Interview - 100 गुण): मुख्य परीक्षेत उत्तीर्ण झालेल्या उमेदवारांची 100 गुणांची मुलाखत घेतली जाते.
तयारी कशी करावी?
MPSC ची तयारी करताना NCERT आणि स्टेट बोर्डाची पुस्तके वाचणे अत्यंत महत्त्वाचे आहे. इतिहास, भूगोल, राज्यशास्त्र आणि अर्थशास्त्र या विषयांचा पाया पक्का करा. दररोज वर्तमानपत्रे वाचून चालू घडामोडींवर लक्ष ठेवा. मागील वर्षांच्या प्रश्नपत्रिका (PYQs) सोडवण्यावर विशेष भर द्या.
What is MPSC Rajyaseva?
The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) conducts the State Services Exam (Rajyaseva) annually to recruit Group A and Group B officers such as Deputy Collector, DySP, Tehsildar, and Block Development Officer (BDO). It is one of the most prestigious competitive exams in Maharashtra.
Eligibility
Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university. Final year students can apply for the Prelims, but must produce their passing certificate before the Mains exam.
Age Limit: The age limit for General category candidates is 19 to 38 years. For Reserved categories (OBC/SC/ST), the upper age limit is relaxed up to 43 years.
Exam Pattern
The selection process consists of three stages:
- Prelims (400 Marks): Consists of two objective papers. Paper 1 (General Studies) and Paper 2 (CSAT). CSAT is now qualifying in nature, requiring 33% marks to pass.
- Mains (800 Marks): The Mains exam consists of 6 papers, including Languages (Marathi & English) and General Studies (GS 1 to 4). The exam pattern is moving towards a descriptive format.
- Interview (100 Marks): Candidates who clear the Mains are called for a personality test / interview worth 100 marks.

Start your preparation with NCERT and Maharashtra State Board books to build a strong foundation in History, Geography, Polity, and Economy. Read daily newspapers for Current Affairs. Solving Previous Year Questions (PYQs) is highly recommended.
