4. वयाची cut-off date शोधा
मग form मधील spelling, category, date of birth, uploaded photo आणि selected post preview मध्ये तपासा.
एका वहीत किंवा spreadsheet मध्ये संस्था, advertisement number, post code, last date, official PDF, apply URL आणि application number अशी सात fields ठेवा.
A forwarded message saying “last date today” creates exactly the wrong kind of urgency. A short post, thumbnail or screenshot is not the source notice. It may be old, may omit a revised vacancy count, or may point to the wrong application page. Before paying a fee, open the original notice and run a small, repeatable check.
1. Start with the source PDF
Open the recruitment or advertisement section on the hiring organisation's official website. Note the organisation name, advertisement number and publication date shown in the PDF. A copy stored on Google Drive can be convenient, but confirm it against the entry on the official portal. A logo on a PDF is not proof by itself.
2. Treat every date as a separate field
The opening date, fee-payment deadline, final submission deadline and correction window may all be different. Do not assume the form remains open until midnight; check the stated time. If there is an extension or corrigendum, read the original notification together with the latest notice.
3. Check eligibility for your exact post
One advertisement often covers several posts, each with a different degree, experience requirement or typing certificate. A social post that says “any graduate” may apply to only one line in the table. Write down the post name and post code, then read that exact row. If you are awaiting a final result, confirm whether appearing candidates are permitted instead of guessing.
4. Find the age cut-off date
Your age today may not be the age used by the recruitment body. Locate the date on which age is calculated, the relaxation for your category and the certificate needed to claim it. A generic “18 to 38 years” summary should never replace the notice for a particular post.
5. Read the vacancy notes, not only the total
A large headline number can combine districts, cadres and disciplines. What matters is the allocation for the category and post you can actually select. Backlog positions and horizontal reservations for women, persons with disabilities or ex-servicemen may have separate notes. Read those notes before estimating your options.
6. Inspect the application domain
After pressing Apply, look at the full domain in the browser. Check its spelling, HTTPS connection and whether the official recruitment page links to it. Avoid signing in through shortened links received in groups. Never share an OTP, password or card PIN with a person offering to complete the form.
7. Verify where the fee goes
The fee and payment process should match the notification. Stop if someone asks for a “registration charge” through a personal UPI ID or an unfamiliar QR code. After a legitimate payment, keep the receipt, application number and transaction reference together.
8. Record the selection stages
Salary and vacancy numbers do not tell you the full commitment. Note whether the process contains a written examination, skill or typing test, physical test, interview, medical examination or document verification. Download a separate syllabus annexure when one is provided.
9. Understand location and appointment terms
A listing marked Maharashtra may still carry cadre rules, transfer liability or training outside your district. Contract, apprentice, temporary and permanent appointments are not interchangeable. Check whether the salary shown is basic pay on a scale or a fixed consolidated amount.
10. Perform the final two checks
Return to the official site and look once more for a corrigendum, cancellation or revised vacancy notice. Then inspect the form preview: spelling, category, date of birth, selected post, photograph and signature. Save the submitted form and one screenshot before closing the tab.
A Sarkari Katta job page is a reading aid. The hiring organisation's notification and application portal remain the final authority for your application.
Keep a two-minute application log
Use a notebook or spreadsheet with seven fields: organisation, advertisement number, post code, last date, official PDF, application URL and application number. Add “revised on” when a corrigendum appears. This modest habit prevents duplicate forms, missing receipts and deadline confusion, and gives you a dependable record that is better than searching old forwarded messages.
